Paper towel tube, paper, markers, funnel, scoop, tape, tin foil & filler (beads, popcorn, rice, etc) for inside.

Draw a picture with you kiddo; this can later be wrapped around outside of the rain stick.

Use tape or paper & tape to enclose one end.

Wrap tube with picture or use varied tape to wrap.

Fill inside of tube with tin foil to help make a “rain sound”

Use scoop & funnel to fill with your choice of fill (beans, beads, rice, dry pasta, pop corn kernels, etc)

Tape & close other side then start enjoying.

Use an upside down umbrella if your child can be safe while playing.

Using an “umbrella” bowl would be a great option.

Use bean bags, balls, balloons, socks, etc. to toss.

Set up “umbrella” to toss.

Catch the rain! Work on counting, gross motor skills, losing or behavioral regulation.
